Editorial Policy

Peer Review & Editorial Evaluation

Every manuscript submitted to AcademiansEdu undergoes a structured and transparent editorial and peer-review process. Only submissions that meet basic editorial standards are sent for external evaluation.

Initial Manuscript Evaluation

Upon submission, each manuscript is screened by the editorial team for scope, originality, and basic quality. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they fall outside the journal’s aims, lack originality, or contain major methodological issues. Authors are usually notified of this decision within 1–2 weeks.

Manuscripts that pass this stage are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers for a double-blind peer review process.

Double-Blind Peer Review

AcademiansEdu operates a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and academic experience in the relevant field.

Peer Review Workflow

  1. Editorial Screening: Initial assessment for scope, quality, and originality.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: Manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers.
  3. Review Process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, relevance, and clarity.
  4. Review Duration: The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and revision requirements.
  5. Revision Stage: Authors may be required to revise their manuscript based on reviewer feedback.
  6. Final Decision: The editor makes the final decision (accept, revise, or reject) based on reviewer reports and editorial judgment.

Reviewer Evaluation Criteria

  • Originality and contribution to the field
  • Soundness of methods and analysis
  • Compliance with ethical and research standards
  • Clarity of results and conclusions
  • Adequacy of references
  • Overall quality of writing and structure

Language & Revisions

Language editing is not part of formal peer review; however, reviewers may suggest improvements for clarity and readability. Final decisions are based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment.

Only peer-reviewed articles are considered for publication and indexing. Non-peer-reviewed content such as editorials is clearly identified.

AcademiansEdu does not guarantee acceptance of manuscripts. All decisions are based strictly on academic merit and reviewer recommendations.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

In addition to internationally recognized ethical guidelines, AcademiansEdu applies these policies through its internal editorial workflow. All submissions are monitored by the editorial office, and ethical compliance is verified during both the initial screening and peer review stages. Any concerns related to misconduct, authorship, or conflicts of interest are handled directly by the editorial board in accordance with “COPE” (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

The publication of an article through AcademiansEdu represents a vital contribution to building a respected and cohesive body of knowledge. It reflects the caliber of work produced by the authors and the institutions backing them. Peer-reviewed publications uphold the principles of the scientific method and the advancement of reliable research. Therefore, it is essential that all parties involved in the publishing process—including authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the broader academic community—adhere to clear ethical standards and responsibilities.

AcademiansEdu takes its commitment to ethical publishing very seriously, overseeing every stage with care and integrity. We ensure that commercial interests such as advertising and reprints have no influence over editorial decisions. Furthermore, the Publisher and Editorial Board actively collaborate with other journals and publishers as needed to maintain high standards and address any publishing concerns.

Authors submitting to AcademiansEdu are required to ensure that their work is original, accurate, and properly referenced. All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and ethical compliance before being sent for peer review.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
  • Corrections: Authors must notify the journal promptly if significant errors are identified in their published work.

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., iThenticate) prior to peer review.

Role of Editorial Team

Editorial decisions at AcademiansEdu are made through a structured process involving initial screening, peer review, and final evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor. All decisions are based strictly on academic merit, reviewer reports, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Fair Review: Manuscripts are assessed without discrimination based on personal or institutional factors.
  • Confidentiality: All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.

Open Access Statement

This AcademiansEdu Journals provides immediate open access to its content, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers without subscription or access fees. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without prior permission from the publisher or the authors.

Publication Frequency

AcademiansEdu journals are published on a quarterly basis, with four issues released annually.

Archiving and Digital Preservation

AcademiansEdu ensures the long-term preservation, accessibility, and permanent availability of its published content through a multi-layered digital archiving and preservation strategy.

  • All published articles are publicly archived through the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) to maintain accessible historical records of the journal website.
  • Published articles may also be deposited in trusted open-access repositories and preservation platforms such as Zenodo and institutional repositories to enhance long-term accessibility.
  • Each published article is assigned a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure stable citation, discoverability, and permanent linking.
  • Regular backups of the journal website, databases, and published files are maintained to prevent accidental data loss and support content recovery.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive the published version of their articles in institutional and subject repositories in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy.

These preservation measures help ensure that published research remains permanently accessible even in the event of technical failures, website changes, or platform migration.

Retraction Policy

AcademiansEdu emphasizes the significance of maintaining the integrity and completeness of the academic record. The historical archive of published research should be preserved and unchanged whenever feasible. Nevertheless, there may be instances where a paper is published due to misconduct or genuine mistakes. Although editors diligently oversee the review process, detecting every instance of misconduct or error remains exceedingly challenging. Consequently, it may be essential to amend the scholarly record. The decision to modify the record must be approached with utmost seriousness. The action taken is contingent on the specific situation and might include:

  • Expression of Concern
  • Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum)
  • Retraction
  • Removal

The aim of this action is to amend the literature and inform readers, not to penalize the author(s).

The editor of the relevant journal is responsible for overseeing an investigation into misconduct or unintentional error. Both authors and reviewers will participate in this process. The editor will determine the most appropriate way to amend the academic record. This process is guided by COPE’s Retraction Guidelines and other recognized scholarly standards.

Small mistakes that do not compromise the integrity of the metadata or hinder a reader’s comprehension of an article—and do not involve any scientific inaccuracies or omissions—are rectified by replacing the original article with a corrected version. If an author requests this action, the final decision will be made by the Editors and Editorial Panel Members.

Appeals and Complaints Policy

AcademiansEdu is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical publication process. Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions if they believe a decision was based on a misunderstanding of the manuscript’s scientific contribution, technical evaluation, or review process.

Appeals must be submitted in writing to the editorial office with a detailed explanation and supporting justification. The journal may seek additional independent editorial or reviewer assessment before making a final decision. The outcome of the appeal will be communicated officially to the author(s).

The journal also accepts complaints related to publication ethics, peer review conduct, editorial handling, conflicts of interest, authorship disputes, plagiarism, or research misconduct. All complaints are handled confidentially and investigated by the editorial office in accordance with established publishing ethics and COPE guidelines.

AcademiansEdu reserves the right to request additional information, documentation, or clarification during investigations. Appropriate actions may include correction, clarification, rejection, retraction, or other necessary editorial measures where applicable.

Advertising and Responsible Research Assessment

Intrusive advertising, including pop-ups or disruptive promotional content, is not permitted on any AcademiansEdu journal website. The journal environment is maintained to ensure a clear, professional, and reader-friendly experience.

In alignment with the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment, the journal does not rely on journal-level metrics such as impact factors or ranking indicators as a primary measure of research quality.

Instead, all manuscripts are evaluated based on their academic merit, originality, methodological soundness, and contribution to the field.

Metadata Distribution and Indexing

AcademiansEdu ensures that article metadata (including titles, authors, abstracts, DOIs, URLs, and publication dates) is properly structured and maintained to support discoverability.

Metadata may be shared with indexing and abstracting services, repositories, and academic databases where applicable, in order to enhance the visibility and accessibility of published research.

Data Availability Statements are mandatory. Authors must indicate where data can be accessed (repositories such as Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, GenBank, or institutional repositories) or provide reasons for restrictions.

Generative AI Policy:

  • Authors must disclose any use of generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) for language polishing, editing, or analysis in the Acknowledgements or Methods section.
  • AI cannot be listed as an author – authorship requires accountability and final approval.
  • Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and absence of plagiarism in AI‑assisted content.
  • Reviewers and editors must not use generative AI to write peer review reports – due to confidentiality risks, superficial feedback, and potential false information.
  • Any misuse of AI that results in research misconduct may lead to manuscript rejection or retraction.
