Types of Articles
AcademiansEdu journals welcome submissions in the following categories, depending on the scope of the individual journal:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Short Communications
- Case Studies / Case Reports
- Technical Reports
- Methodology Articles (where applicable)
- Policy Analyses (where applicable)
Authors should consult the selected journal to determine the article types accepted for publication.
Author Responsibilities
Authors submitting manuscripts to AcademiansEdu journals are expected to:
- Ensure the originality, accuracy, and integrity of the submitted work.
- Confirm that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal.
- Ensure that all listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions to the research.
- Properly acknowledge all sources, citations, and contributors.
- Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research or publication process.
- Respond promptly to editorial communications and revision requests.
- Be prepared to provide underlying research data if requested during editorial evaluation.
- Promptly notify the journal if a significant error is discovered in a published article.
Research involving human participants, animals, clinical materials, laboratory experiments, surveys, interviews, engineering systems, environmental studies, or sensitive data must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Where appropriate, ethics approval and informed consent should be obtained before conducting the research.
Manuscript Preparation
File Format
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English or in the language specified by the selected journal.
- Use Times New Roman, font size 12, with appropriate spacing and margins.
Title Page
The title page should include:
- Full manuscript title
- Author names
- Institutional affiliations
- Corresponding author's name and email address
- ORCID iD (recommended)
The title should clearly and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
Abstract
All manuscripts must include an abstract of no more than 250 words. The abstract should briefly describe:
- Research objective
- Methodology
- Key findings
- Main conclusions
The abstract should be understandable without referring to the full manuscript.
Keywords
Authors should provide 3–8 keywords representing the principal topics of the manuscript. Keywords improve the discoverability of articles in indexing services and academic databases.
Manuscript Structure
Where applicable, manuscripts should contain the following sections:
- Title
- Author Names and Affiliations
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review (where applicable)
- Materials and Methods / Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements (optional)
- Data Availability Statement (where applicable)
- Conflict of Interest Statement
- References
Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively.
- Each figure and table must include an appropriate title or caption.
- Images should be of high quality and submitted in standard formats such as JPEG or PNG.
- Tables should remain editable and should not be submitted as images.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials where required.
References
References should follow the citation style specified by the respective journal. Authors are encouraged to consult the journal's manuscript template and formatting instructions before submission.
Supplementary Materials
Authors may submit supplementary materials such as: Datasets, Software code, Multimedia files, Additional figures, Appendices, and Supporting documents—where these materials enhance the understanding or reproducibility of the research.
Data Availability Statement
Where applicable, manuscripts should include a Data Availability Statement. Authors should indicate where supporting research data can be accessed, including recognized repositories such as: Crossref, Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, GenBank, or Institutional repositories.
If data cannot be shared because of ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, or commercial restrictions, authors should clearly explain the reason within the manuscript.
Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Authors may use generative AI tools for language improvement, grammar assistance, or editorial support. However:
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
- Any significant use of generative AI must be disclosed in the Acknowledgements or Methods section.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of all submitted content.
- AI-generated content must not contain plagiarism, fabricated information, or inaccurate citations.
Publication Ethics
AcademiansEdu follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
All manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate) before peer review. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, duplicate publication, manipulated images, unethical research practices, or other forms of research misconduct may be rejected or withdrawn in accordance with the publisher's ethical policies.
Submission Process
The submission process generally follows these stages:
- Step 1 — Manuscript Preparation: Prepare the manuscript according to the selected journal's Author Guidelines.
- Step 2 — Online Submission: Submit the manuscript through the official online submission system together with all required information and supporting documents.
- Step 3 — Editorial Screening: The Editorial Office performs an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript fits the journal's scope and meets basic editorial and ethical requirements.
- Step 4 — Double-Blind Peer Review: Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers for evaluation.
- Step 5 — Editorial Decision: Editorial decisions may include Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
- Step 6 — Publication: Accepted manuscripts proceed through copyediting, typesetting, DOI assignment, online publication, and long-term digital archiving.
Peer Review
AcademiansEdu operates a double-blind peer review system. The peer review process generally takes 6–12 weeks, depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the extent of revisions required.
While every effort is made to complete the review efficiently, the publisher prioritizes a rigorous, fair, and transparent evaluation to maintain the quality and integrity of scholarly publishing.
Open Access & Article Processing Charge (APC)
All AcademiansEdu journals operate under the Gold Open Access publishing model. Published articles are immediately and permanently available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, adaptation, and reproduction, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source.
AcademiansEdu applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 50 for accepted manuscripts. No submission fee is charged. APC payment is requested only after formal acceptance. Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions or peer review outcomes.
The APC supports: Editorial management, Double-blind peer review coordination, Professional copyediting and typesetting, DOI registration, Online publication and hosting, and Long-term digital archiving and preservation.
Manuscript Templates
To ensure consistency in formatting, AcademiansEdu provides official manuscript templates. Available templates include Microsoft Word and LaTeX (where applicable). Authors are encouraged to use the appropriate template before submission.
